The tower is live — hosted at pingtower.com and self-hostable as a single binary — and the iOS app is in public beta on TestFlight, open to everyone. Behind it: the App Store release, Android, then macOS, then Windows, and addons that probe from our servers around the world so you don't have to run them from yours.

The plan

  1. The tower

    Live

    Shipped August 2026: ingest, shape-based deduplication, rules, escalation ladders, on-call rotations, and delivery to Slack, Telegram, and signed webhooks — hosted at api.pingtower.com with open signups, or self-hosted as one signed Go binary.

  2. Addons — the probe agent

    Live

    Eleven scheduled checks — HTTP, TCP, DNS, certificate expiry, ping, host metrics, pending security updates, and friends — run by a signed agent on any box beyond your infrastructure, reporting through the same ingest plane your logs use. Run one today.

  3. Host sensors — inside-the-box monitoring

    Live

    Shipped in addons 0.2.0: the same agent, watching the box it runs on — continuously, at the kernel, not on a schedule. Firewall ruleset changes, every inbound connection attempt through a pass-only eBPF program, SSH and sudo auth activity, file integrity, undeclared listening ports, systemd service state, and kernel stall pressure — plus host-metrics and pending-security-updates checks. All privacy-first: contents, usernames, and exact addresses never leave the box. The details.

  4. iOS app

    Public TestFlight beta

    In your hands today: the beta is open to everyone on TestFlight — critical alerts that sound through Silent mode, one swipe to ack. Next stop is the App Store proper; when it lands, the download link goes up on the app page.

  5. Android app

    In development

    Just started. Same tower, same alerts, same one-swipe ack — on the other half of the world's phones. It follows the iOS app's blueprint, so it inherits every decision that already survived an on-call night.

  6. macOS app

    Up next

    After Android: alerts on the machine you're already staring at, for the hours you're at a desk instead of reaching for a phone.

    And then the same for Windows — whoever's on shift gets paged natively, whatever they run.

  8. Hosted addons

    Planned

    Today you run the probe agent on your own box. On the roadmap: we run it for you, from multiple Pingtower servers around the world — nothing to provision, and every check gets more than one vantage point.

The probe agent is coming to the hosted service: pick a check, and Pingtower runs it from multiple servers worldwide. "Down from everywhere" and "slow from one region" become different alerts — and there's nothing for you to provision, patch, or keep alive.
